Moldovan administrative and labor reforms
Overview
Moldova is implementing administrative updates related to labor and migration. The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection has proposed a draft project to officially recognize and validate professional experience gained both domestically and abroad. Under this plan, the National Employment Agency (ANOFM) would oversee evaluation commissions to certify experience for domestic use or for citizens seeking to work in other states.
Simultaneously, the General Inspectorate for Migration (IGM) announced a temporary suspension of certain services from October 29 to November 12, 2026. This pause is intended to facilitate the launch of a new information system named ‘Migration’. During the first two days of this period, the IGM will not accept applications for temporary or permanent residence cards.
