Moldova: Unpaid fines to appear in budget arrears certificates

Starting October 1, unpaid contravention fines will be automatically reflected in the certificate regarding the absence or existence of budget arrears. This change was announced by Minister of Finance Victoria Belous.

Unpaid fines will be recorded in the information system of the State Tax Service (SFS). Previously, these debts did not appear in the certificate. Under the new system, individuals or companies requesting a certificate will have their total unpaid fine amounts indicated in the document.

Citizens can verify their fiscal status through the SFS electronic services, the government portal, or the EVO mobile application. Fines can be paid online via the MPay government service.
