Moldovan authorities and businesses discuss energy crisis measures

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova (CCI a RM) organized a dialogue on August 6, 2026, between business representatives and officials from the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization and the Ministry of Energy. The meeting focused on identifying priority response measures to challenges caused by evolving energy resource prices.

Sergiu Harea, President of the CCI a RM, noted that energy market developments directly impact enterprise competitiveness, production costs, investment decisions, and product prices. He highlighted the need to identify support measures in anticipation of potential increases in natural gas and electricity costs.

During the discussions, Eugeniu Osmochescu, Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization, encouraged entrepreneurs to present concrete proposals to enhance competitiveness.
