Moldovan educators participate in training program in Romania
More than 30 representatives from Moldovan universities, high schools, the Ministry of Education and Research, and the National Agency for Curriculum and Evaluation (ANCE) are participating in a training program in Romania from October 26 to 30.
The program focuses on improving the national examination system. Participants are learning how to develop exam topics, verify test accuracy, and analyze student results. The training covers all stages of test preparation, from formulating questions to final version verification, and includes methods for comparing year-to-year results and establishing performance levels.
Lilia Ivanov, director of ANCE, stated that the goal is to utilize this experience to develop the evaluation system in the Republic of Moldova, ensuring that national exams provide reliable data for educational decisions. Dragoș Iliescu, a university professor, added that evaluation data should help educators understand student capabilities and inform decisions to improve the educational process.
