Moldovan Environment Minister Gheorghe Hajder Mulls Taking Vacant Parliamentary Seat

Acting Minister of Environment Gheorghe Hajder said it is premature to decide whether he will accept a vacant seat in the Moldovan Parliament, noting that the appointment of a new prime‑minister candidate and the validation of the mandate have not yet been completed. The vacancy arose after PAS deputy Alexandru Trubca resigned amid investigations into his business dealings. Hajder, who is listed 71st on the Party of Action and Solidarity’s electoral list, has not confirmed any intention to take the mandate but says he has sufficient time to consider the decision. The discussion comes as Moldova finalises its next government formation.
