Romanian travelers warned about Spain's forest‑fire emergency
Spain's authorities have declared a national state of emergency because of forest fires in the localities of Villa del Prado, San Martín de Valdeiglesias (Community of Madrid), Almorox (province of Toledo) and Burgohondo (province of Ávila). The fires are assessed as having a high potential for rapid propagation.
Romania's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) issued a travel alert for Romanian citizens in Spain, advising them to avoid the affected zones, follow all instructions from Spanish officials, and continuously monitor official information channels. The advisory lists the telephone numbers of the Romanian consular offices in Madrid, Barcelona, Sevilla, Bilbao, Valencia, Ciudad Real, Zaragoza and Almería, and reminds travelers that they can obtain consular assistance at any time through the permanent contact centre (CCSCRS).
