Molfetta celebrates patronal feast of Madonna dei Martiri

Molfetta is celebrating the central day of its patronal feast in honor of the Madonna dei Martiri. The festivities include various musical performances by the Gran Complesso Bandistico ‘Santa Cecilia - Città di Molfetta’ and the Grande Orchestra di Fiati ‘Enrico Annoscia’.

A key highlight of the program is the procession starting at 15:00 with the exit of the effigy from the Basilica, followed by a pyrotechnic display. At 16:00, the traditional ‘Sagra a Mare’ begins as the simulacrum is boarded onto fishing boats for a sea procession accompanied by decorated vessels and musical entertainment.

The day concludes with a large concert in the evening and the landing of the simulacrum at the Seminario pier around 20:00, where it will be received by the Bishop, the Mayor, and various civil and military authorities.
