Molière’s 'The Imaginary Invalid' Opens New Stages in Paris and Greece

The Lucernaire in Paris is presenting a fresh adaptation of Molière’s Le Malade Imaginaire from 3 June to 30 August 2026. Two actors alternate all four roles, with Jacques Trinqui as Argon, Boris Ravin as the lead, and Alice Raingeard and Marion Champenois supporting. The production uses a set of vintage radio posts and blends 17th‑century context with modern comic timing.

In Greece, the play (titled Κατά Φαντασίαν Ασθενής) is staged twice in July. The summer municipal theatre of Volos hosts a performance on 30 July, featuring Vlamidimos Kyriaidis as Argon and a cast directed by Thanasís Papathanasiou and Michail Reppa. The same directors present the work at the 55th Olympus Festival in the ancient theatre of Dio on 29 July, again with Kyriaidis in the lead and a similarly assembled ensemble.
