Monaco to send 17 athletes to 20th Mediterranean Games
The Monaco Olympic Committee has announced that 17 athletes will represent the Principality at the 20th Mediterranean Games. The event is scheduled to take place in Taranto, Italy, from August 21 to September 3.
The delegation will compete across eight different disciplines, including athletics, pétanque, equestrianism, artistic gymnastics, judo, padel, table tennis, and sailing. Notably, padel will make its debut in the competition program, featuring athletes such as 16-year-old Noah Minioni. Additionally, Monaco will participate in the team equestrian event for the first time.
The Mediterranean Games, established in 1951, serve as a major international multi-sport event aimed at fostering friendship and connection among the nations bordering the Mediterranean Sea.
