Monclova gas stations keep sales steady during school‑vacation slowdown as child‑abuse concerns rise

In Monclova, fuel retailer Andrés Oyervides Ramírez said his gasoline stations have maintained stable sales despite a noticeable drop in vehicle traffic caused by the school holiday period. He noted lighter traffic on major streets such as Boulevard Harold R. Pape but reported no significant decline in fuel demand.

Separately, residents of the Colinas de Santiago neighbourhood have called on authorities to intervene in a suspected case of child maltreatment. Neighbours allege that five children, aged between 1½ and 10 years, are living under hazardous conditions involving physical violence, neglect and abandonment. The community says police have responded to calls but the problem persists, and they are seeking comprehensive protection for the minors.
