Italy launches new educational and career orientation initiatives

Various educational and professional orientation initiatives are being launched across Italy to assist students in navigating the transition between school, university, and the workforce.

Mondadori Media, in collaboration with Focus, Focus Scuola, and the digital platform UniversityBox, has introduced the ‘Mondadori Academy Forum Orienta’. This project aims to connect students, teachers, and businesses through a series of 25 physical and digital stages across 11 Italian cities between 2026 and 2028. The initiative specifically targets the rising number of NEETs (young people not in education, employment, or training).

Local regional efforts are also expanding. In Bareggio, the ‘50 jobs of tomorrow’ booklet has been created to introduce students to emerging professions in sectors such as Green technology, Health, and Creativity. In Codigoro, a new orientation desk funded by the Emilia-Romagna region has been established to facilitate dialogue between families and educational institutions. Additionally, the ‘LINK 2026’ program in Crema is providing families with tools and meetings to help students choose their paths following middle school.
