Monsoon Immunity Boost: Vitamin C Foods and Herbal Teas Recommended

During the monsoon season, higher humidity promotes the spread of colds, coughs, flu and other viral infections. Health experts advise strengthening the immune system to reduce illness risk. Vitamin C is highlighted as a powerful antioxidant that supports white‑blood‑cell production. Recommended sources include lemon, orange, mosambi, grapefruit, amla, jamun, kiwi and red capsicum, which can be eaten fresh or as juice.

Complementary herbal teas are also suggested to aid digestion and provide antiviral benefits. Popular blends feature tulsi, ginger, fennel, clove, liquorice, and turmeric combined with lemongrass. These ingredients are said to soothe sore throats, clear nasal passages and improve overall immunity when consumed regularly throughout the monsoon period.
