Monsoon rains raise water levels in Rajasthan, flood Gujarat's Navsari

Heavy monsoon rains continued across western India. In Rajasthan's Pali district, good rainfall lifted the water level of the Jwai dam, prompting optimism among farmers that the increased soil moisture will benefit kharif crops such as bajra, moong and til.

In Gujarat's Navsari district, the same rain triggered flood conditions. More than 80 residents have been rescued by National Disaster Response Force teams, and water remains pooled in many parts of the district, disrupting daily life. Authorities continue rescue and relief operations while urging people to avoid inundated areas.
