Stellar Blade releases Switch 2 demo and Bayonetta collaboration
Shift Up has released a free playable demo for the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Stellar Blade: Complete Edition, currently available on the Nintendo eShop. The demo allows players to test the game's performance and combat mechanics ahead of the full release scheduled for November 5, 2026.
Alongside the demo, the studio announced a free Bayonetta collaboration update. This content includes four new outfits for the protagonist, Eve: ‘Bayonetta’, ‘Nun’, ‘Jeanne’, and ‘Black Tresses’. The update will be available across PC, PS5, and Switch 2 simultaneously with the new console launch.
Shift Up CEO Hyung-Tae Kim stated that the development focus for the Switch 2 port was to avoid a ‘downgraded experience’. The game aims to maintain 60fps using technologies like NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FSR. While graphics comparisons show some differences in texture and object detail compared to the PS5 version, the Switch 2 edition is optimized for both docked and handheld play.
