Mont-roig del Camp launches AI virtual assistant for municipal procedures
The Mont-roig del Camp City Council has launched LIAM, a new virtual assistant powered by artificial intelligence designed to assist citizens, businesses, and entities with municipal electronic procedures.
Integrated into the OAC 360º service, LIAM acts as a specialized cyber-assistant for public administration. It is trained to help users identify necessary procedures, clarify required documentation, and guide them through the steps of electronic processing. The tool is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, providing immediate support outside of standard office hours.
The municipality states that the goal is to complement existing assistance channels and move toward a more digital and permanently available administration. While the technology aims to streamline management and facilitate access to information, the council emphasizes that the assistant is intended to reinforce rather than replace human municipal staff.
