Montenegrin authors release new literary works

Several new literary works have been announced in the Montenegro and Serbia region. Author Jasenka Lalović is preparing to release her sixth novel, ‘40 konaka’, through Vidra Books. Lalović, who has previously published works such as ‘Bastadur’ and the ‘Brda od pelina’ trilogy with Laguna, explores themes of family, heritage, and the female experience. Her previous five novels have reached a readership of over 80,000 copies.

Additionally, the National Library ‘Njegoš’ in Nikšić has published ‘Slučaj gospodina Asimova i drugi romani’ by writer and painter Ranko Krstajić. This collection marks the first Montenegrin edition of Krstajić’s prose, featuring three novels: ‘Slučaj gospodina Asimova’, ‘Martinov greh’, and ‘Iluzija’. The central novel, ‘Slučaj gospodina Asimova’, was notably edited by Milorad Pavić in its original 1984 Belgrade publication.
