Montenegro expands Iskra presidential scholarships for elite students

A total of 119 applicants from Montenegro have applied for the ‘Iskra’ presidential scholarships for excellence. The applicants are students currently studying at prestigious international institutions, including Harvard University, Johns Hopkins University, Imperial College London, ETH Zürich, Technical University of Munich, and Kyoto University.

To mark the 20th anniversary of Montenegro's independence, the number of available scholarships has been increased from 10 to 20. Each selected recipient will receive 5,000 euros. Supported by the company M:tel, the program has a total budget of 100,000 euros.

The scholarship program aims to recognize academic excellence and maintain connections between Montenegro and its citizens studying abroad in various academic systems and fields. A preliminary ranking list of candidates is expected to be published on the website of the President of Montenegro early next week.
