Mihail Nikolajevič Šabunjin, a 30-year-old Russian national, killed three employees at the 'Češka zbrojevka' shooting range in Danilovgrad, Montenegro. The victims were identified as Momir Radonjić (67), Petar Globarević (24), and Nemanja Kapor (20).

Following the attack, Šabunjin stole a Seat Cordoba vehicle from one of the victims and fled toward the coast. After traveling by taxi from Podgorica to Herceg Novi, he reportedly left his passport and phone with the driver because he lacked funds. A massive police manhunt ensued, involving special units and a Montenegrin Army helicopter. Šabunjin eventually opened fire on police in a forest near Topla before committing suicide.

Investigators are looking into Šabunjin's background, noting his father was a retired judge in Russia. Authorities are also examining whether he has ties to military operations in Ukraine, as surveillance footage showed him firing two pistols simultaneously, suggesting professional training. Prior to the crime, Šabunjin had been camping near the Zeta River, where locals described him as a solitary figure who occasionally socialized with travelers.
