Montenegro police seize drugs in Budva and Ulcinj raids
Montenegrin police carried out a series of coordinated raids in the coastal tourist towns of Budva and Ulcinj, as well as in Cetinje, targeting suspected drug traffickers. In Budva, officers seized about 200 g of marijuana, seven packages of cocaine, a precision weighing scale and €1,320 in cash, and arrested two Serbian nationals. In Ulcinj, three foreign nationals – a Bosnian woman, a Serbian man and a Serbian teenager – were detained after marijuana was found in their possession; the Bosnian woman also faced a charge for MDMA. In Cetinje, a 33‑year‑old suspect, S. M., was arrested together with two Turkish women after police recovered roughly 230 g of marijuana and linked the women to a prior purchase from him. The operations were presented as part of a broader effort to maintain public safety during the tourist season and to combat the illegal drug trade in Montenegro.
