Montenegro Police Boost Weekend Traffic Patrols
The Montenegrin police announced intensified traffic enforcement for the upcoming weekend. Additional road and motorcycle patrols, a mobile traffic‑safety unit, and aerial surveillance using drones will be deployed. Officers will focus on speed limits, driving under the influence of alcohol or psychoactive substances, unsafe overtaking, seat‑belt use, and mobile‑phone use while driving.
Patrols will concentrate on high‑traffic routes including the Princeza Ksenija highway, the Podgorica–Danilovgrad–Nikšić corridor, Podgorica–Virpazar, Podgorica–Cetinje, and the Nikšić–Plužine road, as well as key sections around Podgorica, Cetinje, Danilovgrad, Tuzi, and Zeta. Special attention will be given to motorcyclist safety amid the surge of motorcycles during the summer tourist season.
