Montenegro police seize cocaine, gun casings in hunt for fugitive Vuk Vulević

Police from Bijelo Polje, Kolašin and Berane carried out a coordinated operation in northern Montenegro to locate internationally wanted Vuk Vulević, alleged leader of an organized‑crime group. Searches at several locations linked to the group uncovered a small quantity of cocaine, 16 tablets of ketamine, numerous gun casings, an improvised shooting target with spent projectiles, and an unregistered four‑wheel off‑road vehicle believed to have been brought from Kosovo for mountain transport.

Two individuals, identified as V. I. and V. L., were detained during the raid and charged with offenses under the public order and drug‑prevention laws. A criminal proceeding has been opened against V. I. for facilitating drug use, while charges are pending against V. L. The investigation will continue with forensic analysis of the seized items to determine their use in any crime.

Vulević remains at large under an international arrest warrant, with authorities linking him to a broader cocaine‑smuggling network that has moved large shipments from South America to Europe and Australia.
