Montenegro and Skopje face utility outages and event-related disruptions

Montenegro and North Macedonia are experiencing various infrastructure and event-related disruptions. In Montenegro, CEDIS has announced planned power outages across multiple municipalities, including Podgorica, Danilovgrad, Plužine, Nikšić, Ulcinj, Kotor, Berane, and others, due to network maintenance. Additionally, significant road closures are in effect, such as the total closure of the Đurđevića Tara bridge on the M-6 highway until October 26 for reconstruction.

In Skopje, North Macedonia, the city is preparing for two major events. The 22nd Viz Er Skopje Marathon will cause extensive traffic diversions and road closures on several major boulevards and streets from 06:00 to 14:00 on Sunday, October 4. Separately, the city will host the ‘Bela Noch’ cultural festival on October 3. To support the festivities, Mayor Orce Gjorgjievski announced that public transport will be free, hospitality venues will extend their working hours by two hours, and entry to the Skopje Zoo will be free of charge.
