Montenegro is experiencing widespread traffic disruptions due to ongoing road and bridge reconstruction projects. The Auto-moto Savez Crne Gore (AMSCG) reports that while most roads are clear, several key routes face significant restrictions. Notably, the Đurđevića Tara bridge on the M-6 highway (Pljevlja–Žabljak) is completely closed to all vehicles and pedestrians until October 26, 2026.

Other regional road works include scheduled closures on the R-29 (Bar–Kamenički most–Krute), R-17 (Čevo–Riđani), R-30 (Petnjica–Bioča), and R-3 (Pljevlja–Dajevića Han). Additionally, nighttime maintenance at the Sozina tunnel may cause temporary delays.

In a separate infrastructure development, preparatory works for the Budva bypass are set to begin in early October. This €237.5 million project involves an international consortium including Montenegrin Briv Construction, Chinese firm Shandong, and three Bosnian companies: Hering, Herc Gradnja, and IPSA Institut Sarajevo. The project, managed by Monteput, will feature extensive tunnels and bridges along the Markovići–Lastva Grbaljska section.
