Montenegro reports major road closures and aviation progress

Montenegro is experiencing significant traffic disruptions due to extensive roadwork and maintenance. The Auto Moto Savez Crne Gore (AMSCG) has warned drivers of wet and slippery road conditions across the country.

A major disruption is the total suspension of all vehicle and pedestrian traffic at the Đurđevića Tara bridge on the M-6 highway (Pljevlja-Žabljak section) due to reconstruction, which is scheduled to last until October 26, 2026. Other regional roads, including the R-29 (Bar-Kamenički most-Krute), R-17 (Čevo-Riđani), R-30 (Petnjica-Bioča), and R-3 (Pljevlja-Dajevica Han), are also facing scheduled closures or altered traffic regimes due to ongoing construction.

In aviation news, Montenegro has fulfilled all necessary requirements to transition from the first to the second phase of the Multilateral Agreement on the establishment of the Single European Sky ATM Research (ECAA). This progress was confirmed during a meeting in Brussels with the European Commission, marking a significant step in integrating Montenegro into the European airspace.

Additionally, maintenance work in the Sozina tunnel may cause temporary changes in traffic flow during nighttime hours.
