Planned electricity cuts affect towns in Bosnia, Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro

Utility companies across the Western Balkans announced scheduled power interruptions in early July 2026 for maintenance work on transmission lines and substations.

In Croatia, HEP ODS listed outages for parts of Međimurje on July 5‑7, and for multiple streets in Split, Brštanovo, Ogorje Donje, Dugopolje, Solin and surrounding villages on July 6‑7, with expected durations from one to several hours and possible delays due to weather.

Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Elektroprivreda BiH scheduled cuts on July 6‑7 at numerous transformer stations in the Veliki Čurčiluk, Buljetovina, Drinčići, Hadžići and other locations. In the Zvornik area, planned works from Tuesday to Friday will leave settlements such as Snagovo, Uzovnica and others without power.

Serbia’s Elektrodistribucija Srbije provided a detailed list of Belgrade neighborhoods and municipalities (Vračar, Zemun, Surčin, Voždovac, Čukarica, etc.) that will lose electricity on July 7, with some areas also experiencing reduced water pressure or temporary water outages because of concurrent work on the city’s water supply network.

Montenegro’s service bulletin reported that several villages—including Zasadbreg, Strahoninec and parts of the Selnica municipality—will be without power for several hours on July 5‑7 as crews perform work on low‑voltage networks.

All scheduled interruptions are planned, with authorities urging consumers to check official notices and prepare for possible changes in timing.
