Montenegro schedules widespread electricity outages in dozens of municipalities on July 8
On Wednesday, July 8, the public utility CEDIS announced planned electricity cutoffs that will affect parts of numerous municipalities across Montenegro. The outages are scheduled in several time windows, for example 09:00‑10:30 in the Podgorica area (including Bioča, Bratonožići, and surrounding settlements), 11:30‑13:00 in districts such as Duške, Jablan and Ljevaja, and 08:00‑17:00 in locations like Beri and Gornji Kokoti. Similar temporary suspensions are planned for Danilovgrad, Cetinje, Tuzi, Nikšić, Budva, Ulcinj, Tivat, and Herceg Novi, with each area listed for specific periods ranging from one to several hours. The coordinated maintenance work is intended to upgrade the power grid, and the utility warned residents and businesses to expect short‑term loss of electricity during the specified intervals.
