Montenegro is advancing its European Union accession process, having submitted negotiating positions for nine chapters to the European Commission. The government aims for full membership by 2028.

Budget revenues have increased by 8.7 percent compared to the previous year, while the deficit is 40.5 percent lower than planned.

In terms of investment, the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro reports that approximately 16 billion euros in foreign direct investment has entered the country since its independence. Meanwhile, the newly appointed British Ambassador, Neris Džouns, confirmed that the United Kingdom and Montenegro will continue close cooperation in defense, security, and the rule of law.
