Montenegro advances EU path and US strategic infrastructure projects

Montenegro is advancing its strategic infrastructure and European integration efforts. The Ministry of Public Works has officially initiated the implementation of a cooperation agreement signed in Washington with the United States. The first two strategic projects submitted for American interest include the Adriatic-Ionian Corridor, which aims to integrate transport, energy, and digital infrastructure, and a national project for cargo scanning and border control modernization.

Simultaneously, the Montenegrin Parliament has adopted constitutional amendments regarding the judiciary and the Central Bank. The President's Cabinet described these changes as a vital step toward fulfilling EU obligations and strengthening the rule of law. While some political figures expressed concerns regarding the concentration of power within the prosecution, others emphasized the importance of political consensus for the country's European path.

On the regional stage, Montenegro is set to host the Berlin Process activities in Pržno during late September and October. The government has reallocated €100,000 to support the logistical and organizational needs of this summit, which is expected to focus on regional cooperation and good-neighborly relations.
