Montenegro to host Berlin Process ministerial meetings in Pržno

Berlin Process Montenegro Western Balkans European Union diplomatic summit

Montenegro will host key activities of the Berlin Process presidency in Pržno during late September and October. A ministerial meeting of foreign affairs ministers, European officials, and regional organization representatives is scheduled for September 30 and October 1.

High-level attendees include EU High Representative for Foreign Policy and Security Kaja Kallas and EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos. Other expected participants are Amer Kapetanović, Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council, and Vladimir Obradović, Secretary General of the Regional Youth Cooperation Office.

The program includes reviewing results from the Civil Society Forum in Pristina and the Gender Equality Forum in Bosnia and Herzegovina. A primary goal is the adoption of a declaration on good neighborly relations to address Western Balkan challenges through mutual respect.

Following the ministerial meeting, a summit of leaders is planned for October 22. The Montenegrin government has allocated 100,000 euros from budget reserves to facilitate the organization of these events.
