Montenegro officials urge better air connectivity to boost tourism

The Chamber of Economy of Montenegro (PKCG) has called for increased synergy between state institutions and the private sector to improve air accessibility and enhance the competitiveness of Montenegro's tourism. During a meeting at Montenegro Airports, officials emphasized that air connectivity is a critical prerequisite for developing the tourism industry and extending the travel season beyond the summer months.

Nina Drakić, President of the PKCG, stated that air accessibility must be integrated with investments, service quality, and diverse tourism sectors such as MICE, health, and winter tourism. The goal is to transform accessibility into higher tourist spending and more stable business operations. Ranko Jovović, President of the Tourism and Catering Association, added that destination promotion and airline network development must be part of a single, coordinated approach. Additionally, Minister of Public Works Majda Adžović noted the strategic importance of developing airport infrastructure for the national economy.
