Monterrey implements economic support for women and small businesses

The Monterrey municipal government has launched several initiatives aimed at supporting vulnerable populations and local entrepreneurship. Through the Regia Plus card program, two thousand women aged 18 to 62 are receiving bi-monthly payments of two thousand pesos to assist with essential household expenses such as food and medicine.

Additionally, the “Microcréditos, Emprende y Resuelve” program has invested over 53 million pesos to benefit 3,910 families. This scheme provides zero-interest loans to stimulate productive activities, offering communal microcredits of up to 80,000 pesos for women's business groups and individual loans of up to 70,000 pesos for formal business owners. The program includes access to legal advice, training, and psychological orientation to ensure the continuity of these local enterprises.
