Montilla hosts children's grape harvest to preserve wine heritage

The fourth edition of the 'Vendimia Infantil' (Children's Harvest) took place in Montilla, Córdoba, aimed at preserving the viticultural heritage of the Montilla-Moriles Denomination of Origin. The event, held at the La Unión cooperative, allowed children and their families to participate in the ancestral grape harvesting process.

Participants engaged in various educational activities, including the symbolic weighing of grape clusters, observing the transformation of grapes into must, and experiencing traditional grape treading. The initiative serves as a cultural and pedagogical tool to ensure that the region's winemaking traditions are passed down to younger generations.
