Montreal-Est drug bust nets four arrests, $39,000 seized

The Montreal Police Service (SPVM) arrested four men on 9 July 2026 during an operation targeting a drug‑trafficking network in Montreal‑Est. The raid yielded three prohibited firearms, ammunition, more than $12,000 in cash and cocaine valued at roughly $27,000, bringing total seized assets to over $39,000.

Three suspects – identified as Bertanov Sanon (36), Maxime Louis‑Jean (38) and Edder Boursiquot (40) – were held pending court appearance on charges of illegal firearm possession and intent to traffic narcotics. A fourth individual was released on promise to appear later. The operation was part of SPVM’s summer security strategy and involved multiple specialized units.
