Montreal Victoire's missing Walter Cup trophy found

The Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) announced Monday that the Montreal Victoire’s missing Walter Cup championship trophy has been found and reunited with the team.

The trophy was lost during shipment last week when it failed to arrive in Lethbridge, Alberta, where it was scheduled to be with Victoire forward Dara Greig. While a shipping container arrived in the city, the specific container holding the trophy did not. The league stated the cup was “lost in shipment” and noted that the missing item was the team’s “keeper” cup, a replica of the original trophy, as the primary championship trophy is permanently housed at the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto.

The PWHL expressed gratitude to those who helped locate the trophy and thanked fans for their support, remarking that “even the Walter Cup can have a little offseason adventure.”
