Monza to implement new parking regulations on November 2
Starting November 2, the city of Monza will implement new parking regulations to better manage high mobility flows in key areas. The municipality has announced the creation of a new Urban Relevance Zone (ZPRU 9) in the Institutional Pole area, specifically around via Montevecchia. This area, which houses public offices such as the Prefecture, Police Headquarters, and Provincial offices, will see the introduction of yellow lines reserved for residents to mitigate parking pressure caused by professionals and citizens.
Additionally, the existing ZPRU 5 – Villa Reale zone will be expanded to include via Volta. While blue lines are already present on via Volta, its inclusion in the ZPRU allows residents to access discounted parking permits. These changes aim to protect the needs of local residents in areas heavily impacted by visitors to the Villa Reale, Monza Park, and the historic center.
Residents can request the necessary parking passes online through the Monza Mobilità website in the coming days.
