Italian municipalities implement parking regulations

Overview

Various Italian municipalities are implementing new parking regulations to manage urban mobility and optimize space usage.

In mid-September, Poggibonsi began reorganizing parking areas, introducing paid parking in Piazza Berlinguer and establishing Limited Traffic Zones (ZCS) in parts of the former freight yard and Viale Marconi. Simultaneously, Ventimiglia introduced time-limited parking at the Eiffel lot to improve turnover for residents and healthcare workers, while also establishing a one-way traffic flow within the area.

By early October, Monza announced that starting November 2, it would implement new regulations to manage high mobility flows. This includes creating a new Urban Relevance Zone (ZPRU 9) near the Institutional Pole to introduce resident-only parking, and expanding the existing ZPRU 5 zone to include via Volta, allowing residents there to access discounted permits.
