Moomin launches 2026 capsule‑toy and accessory collection in Japan
Moomin’s "Moomin Assortment Collection" will roll out nationwide from late July 2026 via capsule‑toy vending machines. The line includes a large tote bag, embroidered and square pouches, and a drawstring bag, each featuring characters such as Moomin, Snufkin and Little My. Each item is priced at 400 yen and will be sold across all participating vending locations.
A second summer series, "Daydreaming in Moominvalley," also debuts in July 2026. It adds mugs, a slim stainless‑steel bottle, long‑shape badges, a reusable lunch‑wrap, a coloured noodle set, tarpaulin flat pouches, acrylic key‑chains, gauze mini‑bags and triple‑layer handkerchiefs, all bearing new Moomin‑valley artwork. The collection is tied to "Moomin Day 2026" with a special event on 9 August, featuring readings, talks and performances, and limited‑edition tote bags for attendees.
Both releases are part of a broader promotional push by the Moomin licence in Japan, aiming to attract both children and adult fans through collectible merchandise and themed events.
