Moomin-themed events and merchandise launch in Japan

Various Moomin-themed events and merchandise are being released in Japan. Moominvalley Park is hosting a special week to celebrate the birthday of creator Tove Jansson, which falls on August 9. The event includes extended park hours, summer snow-play areas, and various character card giveaways for visitors.

Additionally, new Moomin-themed postcards will be available through Japan Post starting August 17, 2026. These include seasonal autumn designs featuring characters like Moomintroll, Snufkin, and Little My, as well as a collection of ten different illustrated postcards depicting autumn motifs such as moon viewing and cosmos flowers.
