Andrés Roca Rey triumphs in Gijón with three ears

Peruvian bullfighter Andrés Roca Rey achieved a significant triumph at the El Bibio bullring in Gijón during the fourth event of the Feria de Begoña. Roca Rey cut three ears in total, earning two ears for his performance against the third bull, Tarimero, and one ear against the sixth bull, Malvarrosa. His performance was noted for its bravery and authority, leading him to exit through the 'Puerta Grande' carried on shoulders.

His colleagues in the trio, Alejandro Talavante and Juan Ortega, each secured one ear. Talavante earned an ear against the fourth bull, while Ortega received one for his work with the second bull. The event featured bulls from the Puerto de San Lorenzo and La Ventana del Puerto ranches and drew a near-capacity crowd.
