Overview

Bullfighting events at the El Bibio bullring in Gijón featured several notable performances. On August 15, during the Feria de Begoña, Peruvian bullfighter Andrés Roca Rey achieved a triumph by cutting three ears in total, earning two ears against the bull Tarimero and one against Malvarrosa. His performance allowed him to exit through the ‘Puerta Grande’. Other bullfighters in the event, Alejandro Talavante and Juan Ortega, each secured one ear.

Two days later, a novillada at the same venue saw Sergio Rollón achieve the ‘Puerta Grande’ after cutting two ears from the second bull. Other performers included Emiliano Osornio, who cut one ear, and Samuel Castrejón, who delivered meritorious performances despite difficulties with the sword.
