Morcone: Double ATM and Postamat attack via explosions

Criminals carried out a double attack in Morcone during the early hours of the morning, targeting both a BPM bank ATM and a Postamat at the local post office. The explosions occurred around 4:30 AM in the central Via Roma area.

The perpetrators, suspected to be linked to the ‘marmotta’ gang, used explosives to attempt to reach the safes of both machines. The blasts caused significant structural damage and startled local residents. While the total amount of cash stolen is not yet confirmed, authorities are investigating the scale of the theft.

Carabinieri have launched an investigation to reconstruct the dynamics of the two attacks and identify those responsible. Firefighters from the Benevento provincial command were also deployed to secure the damaged structures and ensure the safety of the area.
