Mexico security operations yield multiple arrests and drug seizures

Security forces across various Mexican states have conducted extensive operations resulting in numerous arrests and the seizure of illegal goods. In Veracruz, coordinated efforts by the Secretariat of the Navy, the National Guard, and local police led to the detention of 30 individuals and the seizure of approximately 4 kilograms of narcotics and 170 doses of illicit substances.

In Michoacán, inter-institutional operations in Morelia, Uruapan, and Pátzcuaro resulted in the arrest of 10 people suspected of belonging to a criminal cell involved in cargo theft and kidnapping. During these raids, authorities seized firearms, ammunition, and drugs. Additionally, in Copándaro, seven individuals were detained for aggravated extortion and dispossession.

In San Luis Potosí, the State Civil Guard dismantled a criminal cell in Matehuala, arresting four people and seizing long weapons, tactical gear, and narcotics. Meanwhile, in the State of Mexico, the 'Operación Enjambre' has resulted in cumulative prison sentences totaling over 1,200 years for 27 individuals, including former municipal officials and police officers convicted of homicide, kidnapping, and organized crime.

Other notable actions include the FGR incinerating over nine kilograms of narcotics in Hidalgo and the dismantling of a large-scale clandestine cigarette factory in the State of Mexico, which authorities estimated caused between 225 and 330 million pesos in illicit market impact.
