Morelia International Film Festival announces expert panel and French Film Tour details

The 24th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM) has announced an international panel of experts for the Impulso Morelia 12 program. The panel, which will analyze various film proposals to foster constructive dialogue with authors, includes Cara Cusumano, director of the Tribeca Festival; producer Julio Chavezmontes; French filmmaker Sandrine Dumas; American independent film producer Ted Hope; and Carlos R. Ríos, director of the D’A – Festival de Cinema de Barcelona. The program will take place from October 18 to 20, with winners announced during the festival's closing ceremony.

In celebration of 200 years of bilateral relations between Mexico and France, the 30th edition of the French Film Tour will run from September 10 to October 14. According to Jean François Guéganno, cultural counselor at the French Embassy, Mexico is the largest consumer of the tour outside of France. The program features seven titles, including ‘Abandonado’ by Vincent Garenq, ‘El camino’, and ‘Sólo una ilusión’ by Eric Toledano and Olivier Nakache.
