Morelos reports 12 COVID‑19 cases in 2026 with no deaths

Mexico's federal Directorate General of Epidemiology confirmed 12 PCR‑positive COVID‑19 cases in the state of Morelos for 2026, a figure that differs from the state health secretary, which had reported no confirmed infections. The federal report notes that among 870 influenza‑like illness and severe acute respiratory infection cases, the positivity rate for COVID‑19 was 1.4%. No COVID‑19‑related deaths have been recorded in Morelos.

Nationally, Mexico has logged 855 confirmed COVID‑19 cases and 21 deaths in 2026. Ongoing surveillance continues through the sentinel system operating in designated health units, which conducts molecular testing to ensure accurate diagnoses.
