Security forces across Mexico and Latin America have conducted several high-impact operations targeting narcotics, illegal weapons, and prison security. In Mexico, coordinated efforts by the military, National Guard, and Navy resulted in the dismantling of a synthetic drug laboratory in Sinaloa, where authorities seized over 2,450 liters of chemical precursors, an arsenal including a Barrett .50 caliber rifle, and numerous improvised explosive devices.

Additional operations in Sinaloa and Nuevo León led to the seizure of large quantities of marijuana, methamphetamine, and various firearms, alongside the arrest of several individuals linked to organized crime. In Morelos, the Secretariat of Citizen Protection conducted 97 surprise inspections in state correctional facilities, seizing mobile phones and various narcotics to prevent criminal activity from within the prisons.

In Uruguay, the government of Salto announced an extensive traffic safety operation for August 24, involving over 200 personnel. The initiative aims to prevent accidents through more than 1,000 breathalyzer tests and increased controls for psychotropic substances. Meanwhile, in Cutral Co, Argentina, municipal and police authorities conducted vehicle inspections that resulted in the seizure of motorcycles and several traffic citations to improve road safety.
