Morena asserts unity as it opens citizen poll to choose state coordination leader in Querétaro

Gisela Sánchez Díaz de León, president of the Morena state committee in Querétaro, said the party remains united as it begins the process to select the coordinator of the State Committees for the Defense of the Fourth Transformation. The selection will be decided by an open citizen poll organized by Morena’s National Election Commission, with registration open from 22 to 27 June and the final poll scheduled for 26 June. Sánchez emphasized that no internal factions exist, that all aspirants will conduct territorial visits and meetings with citizens, and that the decision will be made solely by the electorate, not by party elites.

She also noted that the poll may include up to six profiles—three women and three men—and that participants must resign from any public or legislative office before registering. Morena, together with its allied parties PT and PVEM, will run the joint process, while each party retains its own internal call for candidates.
