Morena candidates register to head state coordination for transformation in Chihuahua and Baja California

Andrea Chávez formally registered as the candidate to lead the Coordinación Estatal en Defensa de la Transformación y la Soberanía Nacional in Chihuahua. She said the state faces a historic opportunity to end a century of PRI‑PAN rule and pledged to address hunger in the Sierra Tarahumara, transport gaps in Ciudad Juárez, unemployment, and support for indigenous communities. Chávez emphasized, “Ya nos cansamos de quejarnos de la incapacidad y de la avaricia de quienes por tantas décadas secuestraron el poder en Chihuahua.”

In Baja California, Alfredo Álvarez Cárdenas also registered to head the same state coordination and announced the creation of a Technical Committee of the Master Plan. The committee will gather scientists, entrepreneurs, farmers and other citizens to contribute ideas for the state’s development. Álvarez noted the group “nace para juntar en una misma mesa a las distintas voces especializadas de Baja California,” and reaffirmed support for President Claudia Sheinbaum’s national transformation agenda.
