Morena launches youth political engagement program in Estado de México

Morena in the State of Mexico has announced a series of activities for August as part of the Month of Youth, aimed at increasing the participation of younger generations in public life. Luz Ma Hernández Bermúdez, president of the State Executive Committee of Morena, presented the program, which focuses on territorial activity, sports, political training, and public expression.

The strategy includes the deployment of “Information Brigades in Defense of Sovereignty and the Transformation Project” across various municipalities. Through these brigades, young militants and supporters will visit neighborhoods and communities to engage with citizens and identify local concerns. The initiative seeks to foster political dialogue directly within communities rather than solely in institutional settings.

Additional components of the program include the “Social Run,” a sporting event designed to promote social interaction and the recovery of public spaces, and a State Oratory Contest. The contest is intended to provide a platform for youth to express their views on the challenges facing both the State of Mexico and the country. Enrique Jacob Inzunza, the state commissioner for Youth, emphasized that the goal is to build permanent youth participation that extends beyond electoral cycles through political preparation and community responsibility.
