Morena officials hold territorial assemblies to boost national sovereignty in Mexico

Rafael Marín Mollinedo led an assembly in the Ribera del Río Hondo, gathering residents from 19 communities in southern Quintana Roo. He highlighted the importance of defending national sovereignty, strengthening citizen participation, and ensuring access to information.

In a separate meeting in Río Grande, Zacatecas, Ulises Mejía Haro and federal deputy Alfonso Ramírez Cuéllar addressed roughly 300 party leaders to consolidate Morena’s territorial organization and back President Claudia Sheinbaum’s agenda. They linked national sovereignty to energy and food self‑sufficiency and to elevating social programs to constitutional rights, calling for continued mobilization ahead of the president’s visits to local municipalities.
