Morena officials tour Mexican states to strengthen support for the Fourth Transformation

Morena leaders continued a series of outreach tours across several Mexican states. Marcela González, president of Morena in Tlaxcala, visited municipalities including Ixtenco and San Juan Huactzinco, reaffirming commitment to national sovereignty and the transformation agenda led by President Claudia Sheinbaum. In Sinaloa, Senator Imelda Castro, a candidate to coordinate the Defense of the Transformation and Sovereignty, highlighted the party’s strong backing among vulnerable groups, noting contact with more than 160,000 residents and stressing the need to maintain momentum ahead of upcoming internal surveys. Carlos Torres Piña, aspiring coordinator in Michoacán, called on inhabitants of Huandacareo to remain organized and defend Mexico against what he described as a right‑wing push to restore old privileges and foreign pressure. In Iguala, local leaders expressed support for Beatriz Mojica’s bid for a key defense‑of‑transformation role. Finally, Froylán Gámez, a candidate for coordination in Sonora, emphasized his experience in state and federal public service—including roles at the Secretariat of Foreign Affairs and the Sonoran government—and pledged discipline, transparency and continuity for the Fourth Transformation.
